Human Rights Narratives and Contestation in Malaysia: Contrasting Discourses of 'Universality' and 'Hegemony'

The present chapter focuses on the Malaysian state’s human rights policies and practices in response to increased civil society participation in governance through the venue of non-electoral politics.
