Wikileaks is indispensable in a world where lying is considered patriotism and exposing the lie treachery. When governments paint it white when they think and act black, then we are all in serious danger of being misled and misinformed.

In the book The March to Putrajaya, author Kim Quek asks some hard questions and got the reply he may not have wanted - a government ban on his book. But it is a decision as baffling as the controversies Quek broaches.

Many Malaysians saw their birthright being questioned from time to time yet kept voting into power the architects and engineers of their plight. You can't be more self-destructive and idiotic than that.

The older generation may have resigned themselves to be perpetual victims of officialdom and the authorities' idea of justice, but the young generation cannot allow itself to be cowed and suffer a similar fate of their elders.

The royal commission of inquiry on the VK Lingam scandal recommended that Mahathir Mohamad and five others, including Lingam, be investigated under various laws but the outcome has only been a disturbing practice of selective prosecution.
