By December in the following year, the burial ground was demolished after the usual threats and manipulative tactics were employed on the Indian estate workers. In this respect, PAS did not behave any differently from BN.

Some elite merely chant their favourite mantra that resources must be allocated only on the “basis of need, not race” – do not just say it, do it.

hindraf-hunger-strkeWhen the Indian rubber estate workers were evicted to allow the land to be developed or turned into oil palm plantations, the workers were left without adequate compensation, housing, temples, alternative job opportunities or new skills training. Their community was completely destroyed.
