Uthaya’s plight is little known to most Malaysians with the mainstream media complicit in erecting a wall of silence on his case and refusing to share with the public the various appeals made by Hindraf; his family and Uthaya himself.

The position taken by all the seven Federal Court judges should raise alarm bells that our judicial system is not stepping up to the plate to defend our fundamental liberties as guaranteed in the Federal Constitution.

Non-Muslims do have a right as Malaysian citizens in making sure that the provision on freedom of religion as enshrined in the country's constitution is not diminished but is widened over time.
