Once again it is clear that the Malaysian cabinet lacks a minister to adequately represent the interests of workers, and that the Human Resources Minister Dr S. Subramaniam and his ministry are biased in favour of employers.
Malaysian media civil society organisations condemned the arrest of two journalists and police violence towards others who were covering the sit-down protest for free and fair elections in Kuala Lumpur on 28 April 2012.
We the NGOs who endorsed our previous letter-statement would like to inform the members of the Media and all concerned Malaysian citizens that we will not bow down to such intimidation tactics of a big giant corporation like Lynas.
